Thank you to everyone who came out last night for Lockhart’s first Chit Chat! What is this “Chit Chat?”
Well, it’s a symposium of people who want to share what they do here in our sweet little town!
I had a super fun time trying to share a slice of my appreciation for what comprises the parts of Lockhart that make my heart flutter, I had the mere 6 minutes and 40 seconds we all had, talking fast, trying to squeeze in every reason why I’m grateful to live here is something I’ve grown accustomed to…. There’s never enough time! We were allowed to show 20 photos but, for me, it would never be enough.
If I had it my way, I’d put in 2000 images to somehow wrap my eight years here with a tight little bow and everyone would sit or maybe dance along to the presentation for at least a coupla hours with bathroom breaks and I wouldn’t have to pinpoint and prioritize anyone or anything. But I appreciate projects that have limitations, and this felt like a great way to start.
I hope everyone had a chance to learn something new and feel a little closer as a community, I know I did!
Thank you to Chris Charles for putting this together, you did such a great job for us, and thank you to for giving us a perfect spot on a beautiful evening for the kids to run wild while the adults had a chance to learn, hug, and high five over some pretty cool and important subjects. I was honored to be there with those who have worked so hard to represent the backbone of Lockhart. There are SO SO many more deserving people who should be a part of this.
Open conversations make me feel hopeful for the future of our town, but there’s always more to learn ♥️
