Casandra has always been the one holding the phone,
capturing everyone else's moments, never her own.
And after a hard pregnancy and an even harder delivery,
stepping in front of the lens felt like the last thing she wanted to do.

But then there was A.
Four months old.
Already changing by the day.

So Casandra did the brave thing. She stepped into the frame,
not because she felt ready, but because she knew her daughter would one day want proof.
Proof that her mama was there.
That she held her like that.
That she looked at her exactly like that.

We’ve been setting up for our Women and their Dogs Exhibition tonight at the studio… doors open from 4-8pm! Heartfelt thanks to all of the inspiring women who stepped into the frame and shared the deepest bonds with their dogs. I is one of them.

At 11, she has already tried the things that didn't quite fit.
Cheer, gymnastics, the searching that comes before you find your thing.

And then she found it.

Ballet. Musical theater.
The stage.

She stepped into the role of the Mouse Queen in The Nutcracker with CBSA.
Not blending in, but leading. Not background. Character.

And recently? She earned her pointe shoes.
Anyone who has watched a dancer work toward that moment knows what it means.
The hours. The ache. The discipline that lives quietly in an 11-year-old's body.

This isn't cutesy.
This isn't posed prettiness for the sake of it.

This is a girl who knows who she is and works for it every single day.

For C and V, that strength looks a little different,
but it runs just as deep.

For C, ballet is not something she does.
It's who she is.

Long hours. Weekend rehearsals.
Six hours of practice before most kids are done with Saturday.
A deep devotion to her craft that has carried her all the way to the stage,
where everything she's worked for comes alive.

And even now, as her body asks for care and pause,
her love for it hasn't wavered.
Because this was never about perfection.
It's about passion.

And then there's V. Quiet power in a different form.
A fifth-grade gymnast who just came home a State Champion — Level 4.

Two sisters.
Two stages.
One family that knows exactly what it means to show up, work hard, and love what you do.
