A reminder if there's ever anything wrong with a crossing, or a vehicle is stuck on the tracks please call the number on the blue sign. If there is no blue sign simply call 9-1-1 and tell them where you are and they will contact the railroad.
This crossing is located at the end of the Nittany and Bald Eagle Railroad, one of six railroads in the North Shore Railroad system.

During the Memorial Day celebration yesterday in Boalsburg, home to Memorial Day. The speaker of the ceremony mentioned men from Centre County who fought in the Civil War. Out of all the men, sadly 6 men have no info on their grave locations. The blue pinwheels represent the men and what regiment they served in.

On top of it being World Lindy Hop Day (posted earlier today), it is Sally Ride Day. A special appreciation holiday that is held on May 26 every year. It is the fun celebration of the sensational Sally Ride. She was the first American female astronaut to go to space. This celebration is a strong reminder of the amazing accomplishments of the female astronaut. It is a day that serves to encourage more learning and exploration of space. Sally Ride is a huge role model to girls who are interested in space and science. The date was chosen to commemorate her birthday and has been observed every year since 2003.
