Outfits can quite literally make or break a photoshoot. If you go to a beautiful field with whimsical flowers and a transcendent sunset but wear tight jeans and a color pop crop top, you may look fabulous, but you’re unintentionally throwing off the whole aesthetic of the shoot AND limiting the poses you can do.

Here’s my take: neutrals all the way. White and beige are my favorite to photograph- they blend well with nature and complement skin tones perfectly. For a more contrasted look, black is a wonderful neutral option! PRETTY PLEASE DON’T WEAR BRIGHT COLORS. I’ll cry, I’m so for real. If you want some color, stick with natural hues: earthy greens, light blues, soft yellow or dusty orange. If you must wear a pattern, please make it subtle!

ALSO, the more movement the better! I’m never going to say no to a dress you can twirl and swish around, but if you don’t want to go that big, at least think about the way the clothing fits in you and how it moves with your body! The last thing you want is to be uncomfortable during a photoshoot when you’re supposed to be having fun and living in the moment.

Most importantly, wear what makes you feel the most like you! Being confident in yourself during a photoshoot is what outshines all the rest, so pick clothing that echoes who you are and you’ll be good to go 🤍
