River’s Epic Senior Session was a fun one. He’s a drummer, has seriously cool style, and came into the session with a very specific vibe in mind — which we were absolutely on board with!

We planned three different locations to bring that vision together, and River even went scouting on his own to find one of them. That ended up being stop #2, so you’ll have to stay tuned for those photos. 😉

Extended family sessions can involve a lot of moving parts, but we make sure there’s plenty of room for both the important groupings *and* the fun stuff.

Before every extended family session, we help put together a list of all the groupings you want photographed so no one gets forgotten. Then we make sure to leave time for the candid moments, the laughs, and everyone just being together.

This Hudson Gardens session was such a good one ... and it’s also a pretty solid reminder that sometimes it pays to ignore the weather forecast. It was supposed to rain, and instead we ended up with an absolutely gorgeous evening.

Couldn’t have asked for better weather or a more fun group to photograph!

Sammy’s senior session at Highlands Ranch Mansion was giving all the right vibes. 🖤

Her goth-inspired style fit the mansion’s castle-like architecture perfectly, and the combination of wind and golden light gave the whole session this moody, dramatic feel. Honestly, we couldn’t have planned it better.

Logan was such a great senior to work with! We had beautiful weather, two locations, and plenty of time to have fun with the session.

He was super relaxed in front of the camera and even came with some awesome posing ideas of his own that we worked into the session. I always love when seniors bring their own ideas, it makes the photos feel even more like them.

Lila’s senior session was absolutely perfect. From the weather to the locations to the wardrobe, we couldn’t have asked for a better day.

We started in Morrison, and it was the perfect backdrop for the first part of her session. And this one felt a little extra special because Lila is the youngest (and last senior) in one of our favorite families.

We’ve had the privilege of photographing so many milestones for this family over the years, and their senior sessions have always been a highlight. While this may be the last senior session, it definitely isn’t goodbye. We’ll still be seeing them for family photos, headshots, events, and whatever else comes our way!

Next up in Zani's cosplay series: Zoey.

This session was a complete switch from Sakura, and I loved the variety between the two. We wandered around Denver, finding murals that matched the colors and vibe of the outfit, and they ended up being the perfect backdrop.

One of my favorite things about creative sessions like this is building each one around the character instead of trying to make every location fit the same vision. Zani and I collaborated on each session including timing, location and poses. It was so much fun!

We love getting creative, so when Zani asked about doing a series of cosplay sessions, we were all in!

Instead of trying to fit everything into one day, we planned three different sessions at three different locations, spread out from April through June. It was such a fun project to bring to life.

First up: Sakura. 🌸 As soon as Zani described the character, I knew we had to time this session with the crabapple trees in full bloom. It ended up being the perfect backdrop.
