Happy Sunday.
Thought I’d do a little about me post as it’s been ages since I’ve done one!
• Many of you know I’m originally from Zimbabwe. I’ve been in the states almost twenty years now. So often people ask me where my accent is? It comes and goes these days, but if you wait a little bit it will always come out, especially if we talk about Zim.
• I’m a savoury over sweets girls any day. I don’t crave ice cream, but I do crave salt and vinegar chips.
• I’m a big plant and flower lady. Both indoors and outdoors. I have a small home, but have over ten house plants. And right now I am working on keeping garden roses, bougainvillea, pin cushions, cosmos, tomatoes, and herbs alive outside.
• Tea over coffee any day. (But I don’t mean herbal tea, black tea with milk always).
• Recently, I’ve fallen in love with documentaries. They help me focus whilst editing. What’s your favourite doc-series at the moment?
• My little two-year-old, Fitz, is the Apple of my eye. He rules my world. Balancing working from home and being a stay-at-home mom is crazy some days. But I’m so grateful I get to be his mom.
• I love living in Colorado, but I’m actually a beach over mountain girl. Whenever I’m at the ocean I feel home. Which is strange because I grew up in a land-locked country.
• I’m loving wearing dresses over anything else lately.
• Lastly, I keep falling more in-love with photography. I’ve been in business for over thirteen years. It just never gets old for me. I’ve been playing with other forms of photography to keep things fresh, and keep myself learning. I can’t wait to see what becomes my next favourite image.
