I’m really going to miss this studio with its perfect light year round; the wintertime shafts of light streaming in and the summertime perch high above the green trees. But also I’m quite excited about the new space that will be ready in just a few months! A separate entrance, no stairs, more room to spread out, and bigger windows!!! Can’t wait to get some clients in there this fall to test it out!

I got to see this smiley girl for her 6 month milestone this week! It does my heart so much good when I see clients again and again through the years. Watching your beautiful babies grow up is such a gift!

As a photographer who travels internationally with my family for a good part of every summer, here’s one of the best hacks we’ve learned! While most adults can hit the ground running upon arrival, kids just need some time to decompress and reset. If we extend our trip one day on the front end and plan for this, we spend just one extra night at the hotel vs thousands for a first class upgrade that still couldn’t possibly give our family a restful flight experience.

I’ll be sharing more of our travels in the next couple months, so stay tuned for filmy analog snaps and iPhone captures of our adventures!

Last week marked the end of me sharing my physical body to sustain another… from pregnancy through weaning, this particular journey it wasn’t easy. But it was beautiful evidence of the deep love I have for my son, and that is a gift I don’t take for granted.
