About me and my testimony and why I want to start a business!
My name is Sonya I am a 24 years old college student! I am from a small town Alma,MI. My husband and I moved to Little Rock right after thanksgiving and we just needed a fresh start. We are high school sweethearts that got married in December of 2020.
I grew up in a church and have always known about Christ but I learned as an adult knowing about someone is totally different then having a relationship with them! We had our differences for a minute and split October of 2018 and I was with my best friend for awhile until an accident had separated us and he died, and I could have been. I picked up a lot of bad habits and it had broke me- I then remembered my roots and the love at that point that I had lost. Which was my love for Jesus. So I picked up the word again and I started calling out to him. He led me back to well the person I am married too now- but it was so hard to just pick things back up where we had left off. Jesus had taught me that forgiveness was one of the most important attributes to have as a Christian! That meant not only forgiving my now husband but I had to learn to forgive myself after I had been the driver of that car accident…. It has been a long journey of learning to love myself again- but so vital that I did cause without loving yourself it’s hard to love others 🩷 After marriage my husband and I decided we needed to take the next step in our marriage and instead of having a separate journey with finding out the truth we needed to find it together, and we got baptized at the end of summer 2021’. We tried to have kids and both found out it would be a struggle for that as well due to health issues that I have had. After praying a lot of prayers I have come to the conclusion that I need to stop expecting him to work on my time and live life!
I have always had a love for photography and capturing the moments for other people and being able to help people create memories. But my first love is Jesus and I had a dream that he wanted me to create a business that glorified his name all while doing the very thing I love! Although this is a business where I will give glory to him- It will be all inclusive no matter your gender, skin color, religious preference, disabilities, or political opinion! This will be a safe place for everyone😊
Now I know this is a long post but the last thing I want to explain is why I chose the olive branch to be a part of my logo; the olive branch is a symbol of peace and reconciliation. Psalm 52:8 "But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever." Symbolic is the olive oil too. In the Bible it is presented as a symbol of joy, because the human who smears his face with olive oil shining (Psalms 103:15)
