I spotted this striking Hickory Tussock Moth Caterpillar (Lophocampa caryae) during a recent walk around the yard. Known for its distinctive white and black tufts of hair, this fuzzy fellow is both beautiful and intriguing.

Beware: Those bristly hairs can cause a rash or skin irritation if touched, similar to poison ivy, so admire from a distance!
