These are some of the stunning views seen while walking along the wall that encloses old town Dubrovnik. The walking path is elevated so the views are phenomenal. Definitely best done early in the morning or late in the day before it gets crowded.

Known as “The Pearl of the Adriatic”, Dubrovnik is a walled city dating back to the 9th century. The wall encircles the town and one of the best things to do here is to walk along the elevated wall. The views are phenomenal. I will share pics of that on my next post. These photos are taken along the narrow cobblestone alleyways within the walled city. Very picturesque!!

Omis is a quaint, historic Croatian town that sits at the mouth of the Cetina River. It’s known for its canyon setting and its quaint stone alleys, fortresses and old town charm.

These photos of the Charles Bridge and the beautiful views along it. The medieval bridge connects Prague’s old town to the Lesser Quarter. It spans the Vltava River and features 16 arches along with 30 Baroque statues. The statues seen today are replicas with the originals found in Prague museums. Commissioned by King Charles IV in 1357, the pedestrian only bridge is one of Pragues landmarks and a popular spot for tourists. Get there early for the best experience although later in the day you’ll find street artists, musicians and local painters which is also fun!

Ginnie Springs from December of 2021. I love the contrast of the fall leaves and the stunning color of the water. I can’t get inspired to photograph it during any other season now. Plus you have the added bonus of it being so peaceful in the winter.

Nuremberg, Germany! These are mostly pics of the Christmas market in Hauptmarkt Square. This is one of Germany’s oldest and most famous markets. Known for its red and white striped stalls it features close to 180 stalls selling traditional German ornaments and food. Over 2 million people visit this market each year. 🎄

Nuremberg Castle is one of the most important medieval Imperial palaces. Built on a large sandstone rock beginning around 1000 A.D., the castle was a key residence to every emperor of the Holy Roman Empire between 1050 and 1571. In 1356 Charles IV enacted a decree requiring that newly elected kings of Germany hold their first general assembly in Nuremberg helping to make the city one of the three most important cities in the empire and also leading to increased trade and commerce. The castle was heavily damaged during WWII but was painstakingly restored over 30 years to its historic form.
