Forgive the 3 posts, but a very special gallery is getting delivered to today and we’ve got a few images I wanted to share on the feed to lead us into summer, before her magical maternity carousel. For some reason, this photo reminds me of my own daughter 🥹🤍 The cheeks! The little gently clasped hand in the air! The soft silliness 🕊️ That is one interesting part of this work, now that I am a parent. When I photograph babies - I remember Holly. When I photograph a freshly two year old - I ache for that version of Holly. I think it’s made me a better photographer in a lot of ways. I adore this family and cannot wait to see them again this summer.

When a fellow photographer drives over two hours, with FOUR children, for a session in evening light amongst the daffodils. No pressure! (I definitely felt self-imposed pressure.) Nicole told me; I have a million photos of them looking at me and smiling, I want your signature emotive look. Pressure aside, what a fun gift for me! To just explore dynamics, and compose them in beautiful light while encouraging authentic interactions to take place amongst her four wonderful children. Definitely saved that all-caps response to your gallery, to read on rainy days. Thank you for trusting me ! 🤍 Which is your favorite? I am obsessed with these and really want to know. It was impossible to choose favorites from this gallery to share 😅
