Check it off the bucket list. The Bold Coast is something of amazing beauty. I shall return to finish the hike. We took our time, stopping at every turn to photograph. Although the weather wasn't what I was hoping it would be, foggy with spots of sun, like it was forecasted to be, it still worked out just fine.

With last night's weather, I hit the road at 5 o'clock this morning in hopes of a good flow for the waterfall at a fogged-in Vaughan Woods. Welp, I didn't get either. There was plenty of green to be had though.
On my way home, in Greene, sits this beautiful farm. I pulled over to take a few quick shots.
Nothing to drool over but still fun to get out early in the morning and shoot.

Hiking along the Ellis River. With all the rain that had fallen the previous days, along with the melting snow, I knew she would be on full display. Plus, the weather was saying there was to be fog.
With the excitement of a cat in a cardboard box, I jumped out of bed, had my cups of coffee, and hit the road a little after 6 a.m. I actually got there before the fog, as you can see in photo #1. I had started the hike back up when the wall of fog decided to roll in, so I hiked back down, found a different composition, and took photo #2. With fear of the fog lifting, I hiked back up to the first fall, passing juicy opportunities along the way. The only way to get my shot of the day in photo #3 was to take the plunge in the river. The water being shin deep, it wasn't too treacherous. It was cold at first, but that went away after a couple of minutes. Totally worth it; unfortunately, I didn't bring an extra pair of socks and shoes like I normally do. My feet were pretty ripe when I got home.
