Two weeks ago, this coming Friday, July 12th, several alums, faculty, friends of Bethany College, and staff came together to help rid the Bethany campus of the never-ending w**d problem that affects all of our lawns and gardens. We will again be hosting a "W**d Pulling Party" on campus on Friday, July 12th, beginning at 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM, with lunch provided if we survive the heat. Most likely, we will finish earlier. You can help for any amount of time you wish to donate, all morning or 30 minutes. Every minute counts and is deeply appreciated. Garden tools like hoes, rakes, trimmers, etc., are also welcomed. Water will be provided. If you plan on helping, please let Elizabeth Brooks know so you will be included for lunch: "Elizabeth A. Brooks"
I encourage all who are able and have the time to help us. After all, it takes a community to keep us (Lindsborg, Bethany, et.al.) viable and significant.
