It's been a while since I shot a show, but this was a really fun one. My friends Wormburner played with The Hold Steady at RJ Daniels on Thursday night. It was a benefit show for the wonderful folks at the Tommy Brull Foundation Inc. . A great cause. Check em out.

Following their Newport Folk Festival set and after their own Positive Jam Fest, The Hold Steady stopped in Long Island for a show to benefit the Tommy Brull Foundation, a nonprofit that helps people with special needs.

Just heard that Tom Verlaine of the band Television has passed away at the age of 73. I was lucky enough to see him perform at the Fender Jazzmaster 50th Anniversary show at the Knitting Factory and snapped a few pics. Rest In Peace.

The fantastic played a Shine-A-Light music series benefit for the last night at on Long Island just a few days after playing Newport Folk Festival and Radio City Music Hall. It was such a privilege to get to see her at a much more intimate venue and to be able to shoot the show. The Tommy Brull Foundation is a great cause and they hold a number of awesome shows every year to raise money for kids with special needs.
The cherry on top was being able to take my daughter to the show for her second concert ever.
