I love this photo…. Actually, I love these two beings together. They have such a natural ease with each other, and you can see it in their relaxed postures and glint in the eye. I suppose when you’re an endurance trail team with so many miles and hours shared, you become one. This was taken at where they have a state of the art campground for riders and horses. Once it cools off a little bit, I will be joining this group for some on with my young horse. I trust these advanced trail riders to keep a good watch over us as we gain experience.

I’m so looking forward to the local rodeo in my town with over the next three days. It’s pretty exciting to live in a town that has its own riding club and grounds. Often when I photograph livestock, I’m reminded that It’s not just about the animals—it’s about the people behind them, like this little Amish boy, whose world revolves around the land and its magnificent creatures.

Their dedication and traditions add a unique richness to the rural backdrops I am most fond of. I’m grateful for the chance to peek into their way of life and share it with you.

I’m excited for the Washington County Fair in a few weeks. I will definitely be there with camera in hand. These kids pour their hearts and souls into and livestock prospects and I’ll be cheering them on at the auction. This image is from in Denver and I love it so much. When I was a kid, I was in and it impacted my life in meaningful ways that have lasted my lifetime.

This final image from is a beautiful museum quality archival pigment print on Hanemuhle cotton rag paper. I’m very fussy about post-production and output materials, having spent countless hours in a darkroom back in the day. I printed for Condé Nast, among others, which trained my eye (aka drove me nuts!) for the tiniest of details. My clients receive their final prints at the same level of quality I have delivered for nearly 30 years.

Hello and welcome to my business page. My name is Lauren Berley and I have been a photographer my entire life. My journey with a camera began in Hollywood, photographing up-and-coming actors. From there I branched out into fashion, celebrity portraiture, editorial work, and lifestyle storytelling. It is my distinct pleasure to incorporate a lifelong career into my love of animals.
