Here’s a fun fact about myself; I almost always say no to shooting weddings. I love weddings and admire wedding photographers. However, I’ve shot them before and it’s just not where my heart is. BUT I made an exception for family. And I’m glad I did! The love radiates from my two brothers-in-law and I’m so honored to have been able to capture their special day. Congrats guys and welcome to the family, Kell!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and fantastic holiday season for whatever occasions you celebrate!

Here’s another family session I shot earlier this year! I’ve known Kelsey for a little over a year or so and was so honored when she reached out about doing family photos. ❤️ Her little ones are adorable. We made it through the session with several songs, gummy bear breaks and of course, the littles had to run around a bit. The kids (and adults! Lol) were great sports and I feel like the images captured who they are at this stage in life.

Hope everyone wraps the end of 2025 with loved ones!

This was a first for me - a winter session with snow on the ground! When you book a December session in Nebraska, you never know what the weather is going to be like. Before the shoot, we were messaging back and forth hoping that it wouldn’t be 20 degrees or less outside. When the day of came, it was pretty dreary outside, but not too cold. Luckily as I was driving to Pioneers Park, the sun started peaking out and we were able to snag some of that golden lighting! I really enjoyed photographing this family, they brought the energy and the vibes. They definitely helped prove that fall isn’t the only time to do family portraits! It’s been a minute since I’ve posted any of my portrait work on here! I’ve done a lot of art stuff this year - peep on ; but I have also been doing some portraits! I thought I’d kick off sharing those sessions with this one.

This family wanted a shoot on the south side of town and requested Wilderness Park in mid November. When I went to scout the Park, I stumbled on this section with golden leaves that I absolutely loved. Then, the day of gave us such amazing weather. The sun came out, no wind and comfortable fall temperatures for this sweet family!

Come check out the Holy Trinity Arts Festival this Saturday from 10am - 4pm. It looks to be an absolutely gorgeous day!

There will be visual artists, performing artists, and floral design presentations; plus children’s art activities scheduled throughout the day. Don’t forget the food vendors, a coffee truck, a beer garden, the UNL Dairy Store, bounce house and more!

At least 50% of each winning bid goes to supporting the Lux’s art education programs, with the rest going directly to the artist.

Finally getting around to posting my last family session before the leaves fell for the year. For a November day, it was remarkably warm. We had to walk around the park a bit to catch those golden sun rays at the end, but I think it was worth it!
