We’re officially making the move! 🤍
After so many memories in our current Lincoln studio, we’re closing the doors and moving into our brand-new Studio 8 Lincoln location at:

🤍 October 29th — Our current studio closes
This will be the final day in our current space as we officially begin our transition.
🎄 November 1st — NEW STUDIO OPENS!
And we’re opening the doors to our brand-new space with our Christmas sets ready to go!
Our first Christmas collection in the new studio will feature:

BIG NEWS THE SECRET IS OUT! 🎉
📍 Studio 8 Lincoln is MOVING!

We’re excited to announce that Studio 8 Lincoln will officially be relocating to a brand new space:
New Address:

11600 S 21st Street, Unit 11
Lincoln, NE

Our doors at the new location will officially open on November 1st, and we can’t wait to welcome you in. The space will be fully ready for Christmas sessions with holiday sets and neutral sets. 🎄✨

Why are we moving? For the past 5 years, our South Street location has been home to thousands of sessions, growing businesses, creative projects, and so many meaningful memories. It’s been an incredible foundation for Studio 8 Lincoln, and we’re grateful for everything it’s given us.
Over time, we’ve realized that while our current space has served us well, more and more of our energy has gone into maintaining an older building instead of investing into the experience, sets, and amenities we want to keep building for our renters.
This move gives us the opportunity to step into a space designed with the future in mind—one that allows us to focus fully on creating and improving what Studio 8 can offer. It also gives us a long-term home where we can continue to invest in new sets, better functionality, and an even more elevated experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
We are beyond thankful for every photographer, client, and creative who has supported Studio 8 over the years. While we’ll always be grateful for our South Street chapter, we’re even more excited for what’s ahead.

November 1st marks the beginning of the next chapter of Studio 8 Lincoln—and we can’t wait to share it with you.✨

The not-so-glamorous side of being a business owner.
This morning, just 20 minutes before a rental was set to begin, one of our Studio 8 Omaha renters sent me photos showing water had made its way into the studio after the harsh rains we've had recently.
To be honest, it's a heart-wrenching feeling. You pour so much of yourself into a business, and seeing something you've worked so hard for unexpectedly damaged is never easy.
But being a business owner isn't about avoiding problems—it's about how you respond to them. Within minutes, we had our landlord out to identify the issue and create a plan for a permanent solution. Then we headed to the studio, cleaned everything up, and made sure it was ready for the rest of today's renters.
The reality is, when you sign up to own a business, you never know what challenges are waiting around the corner. Leaks, broken equipment, last-minute changes—there's always something. You learn to adapt, take action quickly, and keep moving forward.
Today was a reminder that resilience matters just as much as the exciting milestones. Here's to solving problems, showing up when it counts, and doing everything we can to take care of the spaces and people who trust us. 🤍

A little before & after moment for the newest Studio 8 build 👀✨
We swapped out the original garage door for a full glass garage door to completely transform the natural light inside the studio — and this time-lapse makes the process look even crazier.
Since this side of the studio faces south, this new door is going to let natural light pour into the space all day long, which was such an important part of the vision for this location. We’ll also be adding sheer white curtains to help diffuse the light and create privacy when needed, along with blackout curtains for fully controlled lighting environments when using studio strobes and lighting equipment.
We haven’t shared the exact location of this new Studio 8 yet… but we can say it will be in Nebraska 👀✨
