2027 SENIORS - This info was too good not to share for another year… It’s time for our annual pre-sesh inspo post!!! ⤵️

Here are 7 MUST HAVE images to capture during your Session! If you have booked your session with me, no worries… I’ve got you covered. If not, save this list for your session to make sure you capture everything you might need and more!

➡️ HEADSHOTS - Yep! It’s time for your closeup. You will use headshots for yearbook images, college apps, bio pics, grad cards, recruitment pics, future resumes, and so much more!

➡️ FULL BODY - My current, most requested image. Seniors are absolutely loving their entire ‘fit’ in the frame. Driven by our obsession with iphone angles, Full Body images will leave you OBSESSED!

➡️ SILLY - That photo that makes you say… ‘Yep, that’s ME!' Be sure to show off your personality and highlight what makes you… well, you!

➡️ SERIOUS - Don’t be afraid of showing your serious side. This expression makes your eyes SHINE and gives you a good variety of different looks throughout your session.

➡️ SMILING - Well, DUH! Of course you want images of you smiling, but think about capturing many different kinds of smiles!

➡️ CANDID - These are hands down, my personal favs. But, they can also be harder to achieve. Try to remain as relaxed as possible during your session. Consider bringing a friend to help you pull out your truly authentic side. Let your photographer engage with you and guide you into poses that might seem unusual at first. Trust us, we know what we are doing!

➡️ MOVEMENT - Finally, be sure to capture a few images in motion. Moving through a pose will help you feel more natural and these images have a way of exuding life.

As this 2026 ‘Adventure’ comes to a close, I want to be sure to say THANK YOU to our Senior families who contributed to these little celebrations. Now, it’s time to turn those tassels!

Summer is almost here… which means Senior Session Season is about to be in full swing ☀️

But before your session, there are a few style tips that make a BIG difference on camera.

💛 DO: Show up with a nice, even tan
❌ DON’T: Show up with distracting tan lines. Choose clothing that matches the lines you’ve already got poppin' so they are minimized. And no, you don’t need a spray tan, but if you decide to… please let a professional hook you up!

💛 DO: Pick clothing you can move and pose in comfortably
❌ DON’T: Choose pieces that are so short you’re constantly tugging at them!

💛 DO: Wear light, breathable fabrics like linen and soft cotton
❌ DON’T: Leave the layered and cozy looks at home.

💛 DO: Take care of your skin leading up to your session
❌ DON’T: Show up with sunburns or peeling skin (ouch and no thanks!)

💛 DO: Choose colors that highlight your skin tone
❌ DON’T: Go with shades that wash you out just because they’re “in.” Instead opt for your WOW colors if you know them! And if you don’t, pay attention to what you are wearing when you receive compliments!

A little planning now = photos you’ll love way later.
