A little screen grab from one of many tornadoes back on June 27th, 2025. This one was one of two on the ground at the same time, located to our east, as we were positioned about 3 miles north of Moffit, ND on US 81.

One of many timelapses from the 2025 storm season, this one featuring an amazing display of structure during the June 27th storms around Bismarck. North Dakota was an absolute hotbed of severe weather this year, with record breaking amounts of tornados, and historical storm systems in the region.

This particular storm chase will forever be etched in my mind as one of the greatest chases of my life. At the end of the night, we had 6 tornados and never left Burleigh County. What makes this one so special for me was having Parker riding shotgun with me the whole way.

So, the sky finally cooperated with a timelapse I've been wanting to try for a very long time. Just a rough edit here, my white balances were all over the place and it's taking a bit of time to get it cleaned up.

We are super excited to announce that Parker is officially one of Hutch’s Weather Kid. He had an awesome opportunity to talk about the climate of August. A huge shoutout to Meteorologist Hutch Johnson for giving Parker this awesome experience.

We’re past the midway point of the 2025 season. We did skip putting together a video for last year. We are pleased to announce Parker and I have started assembling a video that will combine the best of 2024 and 2025. Stay tuned.

This was our last video, from 2023, New Horizons

A little IPhone dump from our chase in MT yesterday. Keep the residents of Fallon and the surrounding area in your thoughts and prayers as they sustained significant wind damage. Several large trees were down, power lines down and buildings damaged. Luckily, as we checked on the residents along with fellow chaser Brook Smith, it appeared there were no injuries.

"Ft. Ransom Tornado"

Many of us will remember the events of June 20th, 2025 for a long time. This was one of the most insane storm systems I have ever experienced in North Dakota. Having discrete tornadic supercells form in front of a massive squall line that would turn into a devastating derecho, causing widespread damage across the region.

This tornado touched down around 10:20 PM on the 20th of June, 2025 about 3 miles NW of Fort Ransom, ND. It would travel approximately 2.7 miles over roughly 8 minutes, damaging a farm house, several power poles and trees. It was estimated to be 350 yards wide at its widest point and winds of 120 MPH. NWS officially rated this tornado as an EF-2. Luckily, there were no injuries or deaths with this tornado.

A short timelapse of Parker and myself shooting a timelapse. This kid has been going non stop and keeps on impressing me with his ambition and passion for chasing.
