First wedding of the year. It started snowing outside just as we were starting wedding party portraits, but that didn’t stop us. 🥰

My top tip for preparing a one year old for their cake smash session: 🎂👇

At least a few days prior to their session, have them try cake (preferably store bought). This helps eliminate any allergy concerns (which parents should have been testing already), and also ensures they will like the cake and know what it is at their session. If baby has never had cake before, they may not want anything to do with it. 🤷‍♀️🍰

Bonus points for parents who let their baby try cake a few times!

It’s a family effort ❤️✨❤️

I had a vision that I wanted to paint our back studio wall to look like concrete, and thankfully Brett is always onboard with my crazy ideas! It looks a little nuts here, but it actually came out great! Doing this allowed us to have a much bigger studio shooting space so we can do sessions that feel more free and kids can play easier allowing us to capture all those sweet moments! 🥰
