I don't know what I've been eating for the last 47 years because I'm quite certain I had my very first strawberry at Maggie's Farm. It was down right an emotional experience and now I have to make time in my calendar to go to London for pickup. 🫠❤️🍓

I knew it wasn't just me 🥹
This morning Cheri Lawson, a journalist with WEKU, came to do a story on Dirt Pearls. Within the first few minutes of the interview, she experienced first hand the passion behind these women and how portraits alone would never honor their work and love for the land and animals. From the emotional exchange milking cows to the late Ms Ruth, a former owner, lost her land to imminent domain, jumped out of her car to lay down in front of the bulldozers that destroyed her meadow for the interstate. I was happy to see someone completely detached from this project also get drawn to tears too. Thank you, Kenya for sharing your story with us. 🐄🌱✨🙏
