Elegance in Every Detail

Had the pleasure of photographing this stunning barware collection in addition to many other products they offer for Four Roses Bourbon. From the crisp reflections to the subtle curves of the glass, every piece was designed to complement the craftsmanship of the bourbon itself—and it was my job to let that design shine.

Product photography is all about capturing more than just an object—it’s about capturing identity, quality, and intention. Projects like this remind me why I love what I do.

If you’re a brand looking to elevate your visual presence, whether it’s bourbon, boutique goods, or luxury retail, let’s talk about bringing your product to life.

Precision. Power. Presentation.

This image was part of a commercial shoot for Link-Belt Construction Equipment, highlighting their line of genuine OEM parts. From the gleam of machined metal to the bold branding, every detail was carefully lit and styled to bring out the craftsmanship behind these powerful components.

Product photography like this is one of my favorite things to shoot—clean, bold, and built to tell a story of quality and trust.

If your business is ready to elevate its visual presence—whether you’re in manufacturing, construction, retail, or tech—let’s talk. I’d love to help you create content that works as hard as your products do.

Easter Throwback – Fayette Mall , 1986
Pulling this one from the archives just in time for Easter weekend! This was part of a campaign I shot for Fayette Mall back in 1986. A vibrant display full of springtime joy, playful pastels, and just the right touch of mall magic.

Even then, I loved the challenge of capturing commercial spaces with personality—making shoppers feel the moment before they even stepped foot inside.

Decades later, I’m still just as passionate about creating strong, beautiful imagery for businesses and brands. If you’re looking for updated visuals this spring, let’s create something timeless together.

Happy Easter!

An illustrative photograph I created for Asbury College of Education.

“The Ride” – A Tribute to Vision and Calling
This photograph is a recreated moment from the life of Rev. John Wesley Hughes, the founder of Asbury College (now University ). In 1890, after years of ministry and a powerful calling from God, Hughes set out to establish a Christian college where both the mind and spirit could be nurtured—an institution deeply rooted in holiness, academic rigor, and spiritual revival.

This image imagines a quiet, contemplative moment on that journey. Clutching his Bible aboard a train, Hughes rides not just toward Wilmore, Kentucky, but toward his divine calling. His gaze reflects a mind weighed with purpose, a heart stirred by obedience, and a spirit anchored in faith.

I created this photo as a visual storytelling piece for the Asbury College of Education. It’s meant to honor not only the man who dared to dream boldly but also the sacred stillness in the in-between—when God speaks, and one chooses to follow.

Throwback Thursday!

Who recognizes this iconic stone and brick horse barn on a farm in Lexington Kentucky?

This is a photo I took for The Thoroughbread Record Magazine in 1985. This image showcases Vintage Ray-Ban aviators, and the interior of a 1984 Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

Talk about a blast from the past!

Art reproduction is an art form in itself!

A few of the steps involved include:

▫️Photographing the artwork using unique creative lighting techniques and a very high resolution camera.
▫️Digitizing the art while keeping the art work true to life.

Here you can see some behind the scenes images of Dan digitizing the artwork of Amanda Stiltner in his digital-darkroom. The original work of art (a large painted canvas) sits behind an open window in the next room under balanced light. This helps him to be able to look back and forth to be sure the reproduction stays true to life.

It's the little details that matter the most, and what sets us apart.
