A reminder that this award isn't just for police officers, it's open to anyone in public safety under 30. One past nominee was a Technical Sergeant with the Air Force who worked with the FBI on a crisis-response plan, led large multi-agency training exercises, and even built an emergency guide for a local elementary school.

Military law enforcement, security forces, EMS — if they're protecting people, they're eligible. The winner will also automatically be entered into consideration for the National Law Enforcement Officer Hall of Fame Young Officer Award.
