Today makes 6 years since I decided to do photography professionally. I was so nervous when I started out that no one would want me to take photos of them for free, much less actually PAY me money for the photos I've taken. I've been continually surprised and delighted by my experiences thus far and I wanted to celebrate that for a moment.
None of this would be possible without the support I've received from those of you who have referred me to your friends and family, or who have booked directly with me. Some of you have gone above and beyond and done both.
A direct shout out is deserved for those of you who have continually supported me over the years: Kelby, Paige Sweeney, Rachel, Tosha Marie Mcbryde, Carrie Wills, Abbagail Paige Neeley
Brittany Ann Burnette for sharing her expertise with me and providing me a safe and supportive online community to grow in.
and lastly, but far from least, I would have never taken this leap in the first place were it not for my dear friend Leah continually encouraging me to do so. The same thing she encouraged me to jump into is also what helped me mourn her after she passed. 5 and a half years later I still honor her by taking her with me every time I travel for a wedding since a wedding I was working was also the last time I saw her.
I can't wait for what the next 6 years brings me.
