I know my story saw it first but it deserved a larger moment!

I’m excited to share that I won 1st place in the People category of Kentucky Living photography competition!

This image captures a farrier at work, a craft that is incredibly engaging to watch and one I’ve been told is incredibly backbreaking. These are the kinds of images I enjoy capturing most: people doing what they’re passionate about.

This moment was made even more special by the incredible space we happened to be in and the gorgeous light it provided. I have a handful of other photos from this shoot that are among my favorites as well that I will share soon and perhaps you have already seen.

It’s an honor to have this photograph recognized and featured in Kentucky Living’s July issue. I’m grateful to everyone who made this moment possible, all who continue to support my work and to Kentucky Living for showcasing the incredible people and stories found across Kentucky.
