I was born a horseman.
Before I ever picked up a camera, I spent years riding, training, and showing cutting horses. I’ve felt the pressure of the finals, the excitement of a great run, the heartbreak of a missed opportunity, and the satisfaction of winning.
That’s why cutting horse photography means so much to me.
When I stand behind the camera, I’m not just taking pictures.
I’m capturing moments that I understand.
Moments that took years of training, sacrifice, dedication, and belief to create.
The truth is, a great cutting horse photograph isn’t luck.
It comes from knowing the horse, reading the cow, anticipating the move, and pressing the shutter before the action happens—not after.
Every show I attend teaches me something new. Every mile I drive, every arena I walk into, every late night editing photos is part of a commitment to become better than I was yesterday.
The road hasn’t always been easy.
I’ve experienced rejection. I’ve questioned myself. I’ve wondered if all the hard work was worth it.
But then a client sends me a message saying:
“That’s the best photo I’ve ever had of my horse.”
And suddenly every mile becomes worth it.
Because one day, the trophies will collect dust.
The show bills will be forgotten.
The runs will become memories.
But a great photograph allows you to relive that moment forever.
My mission is simple:
To create artwork that tells the story of the horse you love and the journey you shared together.
To every client who has trusted me, supported me, and believed in my work—thank you.
From the bottom of my heart.
I’m proud to announce that my focus moving forward will be exclusively on cutting horse photography.
I can’t wait to continue capturing the moments that matter most.
See you at the next show.
