Quite possibly the most easy going group of kiddos

Also, the oldest thought I might take 20 photos. I told him it's likely closer to 500. When I got home I updated mom that my count was 574. To that she replied, he had just shortly ago guessed 567. Give that boy a prize! 😂

This kid got a "modern mullet" today (yes it's actually called that and actually cool to say you have a mullet? 🤯). She totally rocks a mullet I have to say.
She's one of the most confident, self assured, yet humble folks I've ever met.
So proud to be her mom

Good God are their emotions running high this week. Even a simple trip to an empty park/playground and some sunshine for the first time in weeks turned into several episodes of bitching, crying, and complaining.

Resiliency...the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties.
the ability of a substance or object to spring back into shape

After the year I/my family had in 2019, resiliency was my word of intention for 2020. When the New Year rang in, I had no idea just how relevant that word would be. Who, last year at this time, could've predicted a worldwide pandemic, 346,000 American lives lost, wearing a mask everywhere we go, working and schooling full time from home, the economic impact, the police brutality and the black lives lost. It's been an absolutely heart wrenching year.

Resiliency...

Yet I close 2020 by saying for my family personally, it has been our best yet. Despite all the hard challenges, you have been my favorite. You showed me what's really important. Removed all the BS distractions and stress to focus more on what's right in front of me. You taught us when change comes or things get tough, we don't run away, we face them head on and adapt. Not only adapt, thrive. As a family unit we have thrived, grown, and loved more. 2020, you were a mess, but sometimes in the mess you find your best.
2021, we're ready for ya!

Resilient and ready
