Friendly reminder that there is only one person behind this business — me. I don’t have a team helping with scheduling, emails, editing, shooting, social media, galleries, or client communication. Every single part of this business is handled solely by me from start to finish.
What a lot of people may not realize is that photography is also not my only responsibility in life. Outside of this business, I work a full-time job, I’m a wife, and I’m a mother first and foremost. My family will always come before anything else, and finding balance between all of those roles is something I’ve really had to learn this past year.
This has been the busiest year my business has ever experienced, and I am so incredibly grateful for every single person who has trusted me to capture important moments for their families. But with that growth has also come the realization that I have to start setting healthier boundaries and limitations moving forward in order to continue doing this in a sustainable way without completely burning myself out.
I know everyone is excited to get their galleries back, and I truly understand that. But because I am only one person, editing simply takes time — especially when I care deeply about delivering work that I’m genuinely proud of and not rushing through galleries just to get them out the door faster.
I’m sharing a blurred screenshot of my May calendar not as an excuse or to overexplain, but simply to give a little perspective into what life has looked like lately behind the scenes. There are multiple sessions, editing deadlines, work obligations, family responsibilities, school events, sports, and everyday life all happening simultaneously.
I appreciate the patience and understanding more than people probably realize. I see every message, every inquiry, every reminder, and I promise I am working as quickly and efficiently as I possibly can while still trying to protect the quality of my work, my family time, and honestly… myself too.
A huge heartfelt thank you to all my wonderful clients who have supported me and and been so understanding! 🤎
