Bluebird update, we were excited to have four nestlings fledge in early May. It was exciting to watch as they came out the nest to see the world and fly for the first time! The parent pair have been busy feeding their young while building another nest..with five eggs (first year for five eggs). The fledglings are coming to the feeder to eat now. We are looking forward to watching as the next hatchlings are fed and grow up to leave the nest.

These are from Spring 2021 with our first clutch of bluebirds. We had three clutches in 21 and 2 in 22. We had one clutch in 22 of four eggs that didn't hatch at all, it was really sad. But the pair of bluebirds didn't take much time to rebuild their nest and lay four more eggs...that fledged, and the parents and fledglings were found at our feeders for many weeks after they left the nest.
I'll post some of those photos as well.

A few shots from 2/20/23, Presidents Day 2023! The pairs are out scouting for places to begin a family. I am hoping they will choose one of our nesting boxes, we have three to choose from...plus we are putting one more in this week. The house sparrows have spotted them as well. So we'll make sure the bluebirds have a place to nest.
