UGGHHH you guys, I worry that I'm going to share photos from this wedding so much that you all get sick of it.

BUT. I don't care because the details were beautiful, the bride was stunning, the locations were classic, the venue was elegant, and the day was simply perfect. I can't overstate how much I love seeing different cultures' traditions when it comes to weddings, and observing and documenting the Iranian traditions of the Honey Ceremony, the Sugar Ceremony, and the Knife Dance (plus eating delicious Iranian food for dinner!) during Jacqueline and Andrew's big day was a personal highlight for me.

Murphy Man decided to make his arrival on the early side, but I think his family was more than ready to welcome him! The sweetest family of three became a family of four last month, and I was so happy to meet their newest addition. Molly is already the best big sister, and Murphy is a lucky boy to join this crew.

I was early in my business when I did Jace's newborn photos, and then a couple years into things when I did Aubry's newborn photos. To think they're now in 2nd grade and kindergarten makes me feel all kinds of feelings about the passage of time, and I don't love it. But I *DO* love these two kiddos and their family!

I have never seen someone who enjoyed being in their wedding dress as much as Hannah enjoyed being in hers! The way she floated around all day, you could tell she felt like the dress was made for her - and it certainly was.

But more importantly, I've also never seen a couple who was so giddy to get married! Maybe that was part of why Hannah was floating around, too. Matt couldn't stop smiling as he spent the day with his bride. By the time they were married, they both had sore cheeks, tears to dry, and a forever partner to do life with.

On what was hopefully the last brutally hot day of the year, Audrey spent her morning hanging out with her closest girl friends, and Andrew spent the morning relaxing with his guys. When it was time for the ceremony, they were surrounded by so many people who love them and support them, and the two said I do in front of a joyful crowd. Then it was time to party! The dance floor was full the entire night with maybe a couple sightings of the couple crowd-surfing. And when the planned sparkler send-off got thwarted by rain and lightning? The bride said, let's just embrace it, so we pivoted, improvised a different send-off, and Andrew carried Audrey across puddles to the waiting car. What a wedding day!

The last sunflower session of the year was with these four who showed up looking sharp, smiling big, and motivated to get all the good photos quickly so they could get to dinner :) I hadn't seen their littlest since her first Christmas, so it was amazing to see the four of them together and update some fun family photos in this beautiful setting.

On Saturday, Kaylie and Trent said 'I do' to doing life together and celebrated it with a thoughtful ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and family who then joined them for a relaxed private dinner to finish out the night. The weather cooperated for us to get some beautiful portraits of the two of them before the rain came through, but they still got the benefit of the good luck rain on their wedding day brings!

These two spectacular humans booked a sunflower mini session with me the first year I offered them in 2018. Since then, they've done sunflower minis every year, a handful of home sessions, an anniversary session, and multiple branding sessions for Meg, the author of SO MANY romance novels. These two people and the pets they've had along the way are so lovely that I see them as true friends rather than clients. I was so lucky to have Meg and Dan, plus their puppies Dazey and Ginny, as my last sunflower mini for the year this year.

I look at these and it's easy to forget that we had storms on all sides of us, the wind was starting to whip up, and it was more than a little warm and humid. But that's the magic of having a happy, loving family in front of my camera! I always look at the photos I take through the rosiest of glasses because I know how much I enjoyed my time taking them. And that's true for every session. I honestly believe that any 'talent' I have in regards to photography is my talent to see people as their true, beautiful selves, and I get to have the joy of documenting those people. (Sorry, that was cheesy, but it's just how I feel.)
