When Lauren arrived for her session, she told me she was dreading it, felt awkward in front of the camera, and only agreed to come after bargaining with her mom to let her bring her cat for a few photos. 😂🐈‍⬛

But if she hadn’t told me that, I never would have guessed.

She was a total natural in front of the camera, up for every idea I threw her way, and even agreed to get in the water at the end of the session. She made my job easy and made the whole session feel effortless.

I have a feeling she may have left enjoying the experience a little more than she expected. 🤗

Your future is unwritten, Lauren. You’re off to a beautiful start. 💛

These photos hold such an extra special place in my heart. Today marks 10 years married to this handsome fella right here. 😚

At this point, he doesn’t even question my crazy ideas anymore. He knows once my mind is set, it’s usually best to just go with it. So naturally, we hiked out to a waterfall at sunset with camera gear in hand to take our own anniversary photos.

And honestly? The best part isn’t even the photos themselves. It’s the memories tied to them. The hike, the laughter, figuring it out as we went, and the moments (and cobwebs) in between. Every time I look at these, I can still hear us laughing while we took them.

These are the kinds of memories I know we’ll cherish forever.
Safe to say…we did not, in fact, follow TLC’s advice. 🌊

Kalisha and Joe were not only are the lucky winners of this date night session, 🍀 but they also happened to be celebrating 12 years together!
We planned for a cozy pizza picnic on the beach with some nostalgic, calm kite flying…🍕🪁
What we got instead was blustery winds and frigid temps.
These two were so easygoing and leaned into it anyway.
We kept moving, running, playing…and they kept each other warm (or tried) and we had so much fun creating these lasting memories.

This just goes to show that embracing the weather—whatever it may be—can turn your session into something magical ✨
I mean, just look at how romantic that wind-blown hair is!

Happy anniversary, you two! This is definitely the kind of anniversary you can tell your kids about for years to come 🥰

I’m so excited to officially introduce the new look of Little House Photography.

This logo feels like a settling into what this business has always been about. Home, warmth, nostalgia, and connection.

The little cottage. The quiet charm. The softness.
