There is no ABUSE in LOVE, but there is VOLE in LOVE, and I'd honestly rather date a vole than an abuser.

United Against Abuse: Community Kickoff was such a touching event. We talked about how to get help, how to help others, boundaries, self respect, self love, all the free resources out there, and some personal stories of survivors.

Through the 40 Over 40 and Fabulous Campaign's annual gala, we are able to donate to Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties.

And I'm looking for help. If you are interested in volunteering, you don't need any experience or tons of time or commitment to be a huge help.

Only a week away! Who will be joining?

💜 OCTOBER is Domestic Violence Awareness month. I've heard countless stories from clients about the abuse they've endured by the person that should love them the most, but also about how they escaped and are not only surviving, but thriving.

A huge part of the 40 Over 40 and Fabulous campaign is sharing stories in the magazine. Stories, that are not often told. Because society places guilt and shame on victims, when it should be placed on the abusers.

For those who are ready to share to help others, thank you. To those who do not share, that's okay too. It's deeply personal and vulnerable.

The annual 40 Over 40 gala donates proceeds to Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties to help them perform the very necessary services they provide to our community. I donate a session every year to support the silent auction at the gala.

“In 2023, my grandmother’s health declined to the point where she was no longer able to care for herself independently. Because she wished to remain in her home, I moved in and became her primary caregiver. While it was incredibly difficult to witness her decline, I’m deeply grateful that I was able to honor her wishes and provide comfort and dignity during that time."
