Though most of my work happens in Asheville, I love to travel and will travel to you wherever you are (I don't even charge a travel fee if you booka Day in the Life!) My goal is to tell your story through real life, every day moments, emotions, and interactions. This session felt like an old film + a garage band poster and I’m obsessed with how it turned out.

Prom photos, but make them feel like a movie. ✨

I photographed Joey’s senior session in the Fall (shameless plug 👉🏻https://www.jessiefultzphotography.com/stories/joey-senior-session-asheville-nc) so getting to photograph him, his sister AND their dates for prom was really special!

Sessions like this are my favorite because they feel less like stiff posing and more like just hanging out while creating something cool together!

These four absolutely understood the assignment. 🤌🏻

Motherhood looks different in every season.

New babies curled against sleepy shoulders.
Tiny hands wrapped around mama’s fingers.
Toddlers who never stop moving.
Teenagers who suddenly stand taller than you.
Adult children showing up with babies of their own.
Grandmothers holding generations they once prayed for.

And somewhere in the middle of all of it is the invisible work. The comforting. The carrying. The showing up over and over again, even on the exhausting days.

To the mothers, grandmothers, stepmoms, bonus moms, grieving moms, waiting moms, and women who mother with their whole hearts:

There’s just something about this age…
that in-between space where they’re not little anymore, but not quite grown either.

I photographed Haley for her 8th grade graduation,
and she brought her sister along for a few photos, which ended up being so special!

There was something really sweet about the way they showed up together. Laughing, a little shy at first, and just comfortable ready to make these memories.

The whole evening felt soft and easy and full of that golden light that makes you want to slow everything down for a minute.

It didn’t feel like a big milestone session.
It felt quieter than that.

Like standing right on the edge of what’s next and I loved every minute of it! ✨

Five years ago we took these in this same little alley and it seemed like she could barely hold the balloons without getting pulled over.

But her story with me started way before that.
I photographed her mama when she was still in her belly, was there when she was born, and somehow here we are now 🥹

We came back to recreate a few of these for her 10th birthday and just can’t help thinking, how is she this big already?

Same spot. Same idea. Same personality. Same sass. Just a little taller!

Anyway, if you’ve been thinking about doing photos “someday”…this is your sign.
Because apparently someday is only like… 5 minutes long. 😭
