Everybody always says trust the process. And I’m like, okay but nobody talks about what that actually feels like.

It feels like you’re doing everything right and nothing is moving. It feels like you’re posting, you’re showing up, you’re putting in the work and you’re getting crickets. That’s what trusting the process actually looks like. Not the highlight reel. The in-between.

Building a brand is the same way. The people who figure it out are not more talented. They just didn’t quit during the ugly part.

That’s the part nobody shows you.

Going from regular photographer to brand agency is scary. The question isn’t why, I already understood what I was creating and the why. The question was how do I get people to see that my work had more value.

So I started showing it instead of explaining it. I stopped taking every booking and started asking what story you were actually trying to tell. You don’t need more photos. You need a brand that looks like you mean it.

I love being able to work with people who have similar interests, where we can align on how their brand and my brand work in symmetry.

My job is to market your personal brand to the point where interest actually converts into business.

You know that feeling when you go to a restaurant once or twice and they start treating you like a regular? That’s the kind of service I want to give you. I want you to feel comfortable because I’m here for you. I’m here to grow with you. I’m not here just for the transaction.

I’m not a very transactional person in any relationship in life, so why would I be that way with my clients.

She told me she can’t smile for s**t.

Challenge accepted.

Here’s the thing nobody talks about when it comes to branding photos. your expression is doing more work than any caption, any headline, any color palette ever will. Before someone reads a single word about you, their brain has already decided how they feel about you. Based on your face.

And science actually backs this up.

When someone sees a genuine smile, their brain mirrors it. Literally. The same neurons fire in them that fire in you. They feel what you appear to feel. That is not a photography thing. That is a biology thing.

So warmth wins first. Every time. Smiling signals approachability, trust, likability. Studies even show smiling people are perceived as more intelligent. But here is where it gets interesting.

A big forced smile can actually cost you authority. Your brain knows the difference between real and performed in milliseconds. And so does everyone else’s.

For a makeup artist, a coach, a consultant... your brand might not smile the way everyone else does. And that is not a problem. That is the point.

Smiling creates connection. Confidence creates authority. Your brand gets to decide which one leads. Or both.

That is what good brand storytelling actually does. It does not just capture how you look. It captures how you lead.

Your brand. Your story.

The right visuals don’t just look good. They filter.

Every creative decision, the location, the styling, the energy in the room, sends a signal to a specific person. And quietly tells everyone else they’re not the target.

That’s not an accident. That’s strategy.

When your brand speaks directly to the right person, you don’t have to convince anyone. They already know it’s for them.

A male founded agency that works exclusively with female founders. Coaches. Therapists. UGC creators. Modelers. Wellness brands. Women building something real out of something personal.

Yeah. We don’t fit the mold.

And neither do you. That’s exactly why you’re here.

When I started building my brand, I knew studio work had to be part of it.

Not because it looked professional. Because it gave me control.

Control over light. Over how I showed up. Over the story someone saw before I ever said a word.

Your brand is communicating something whether you planned it or not. The question is whether you like what it’s saying.

Studio work is where you take that control back.

Years of building brands.

In 2019, I thought branding was about getting the right photo.

By 2021, I realized it was about positioning. Who you work with, how you’re seen, what you stand for before anyone reads a single word.

By 2023, the question changed from ‘what photos do I need’ to ‘what story am I telling.’

Now, every shoot starts with strategy. The visuals come after the story is already decided.

I’ve spent years building brands, so I know what actually works. It’s not more content. It’s the right story, told with intention, built on visual psychology, so the right people find you.

Most brands are forgettable because they’re built around a product instead of a person.

There’s a reason founder led brands grow faster. There’s a reason certain brands have cult followings while others just have customers. People don’t connect with logos or product lists. They connect with personality, voice, and story.

When your brand feels human, people treat it like a friend. And we are a lot more loyal to friends than we are to products.

This is the foundation of everything I build. Before we touch content strategy or visuals, we figure out who your brand actually is. What it sounds like. What it stands for. What makes it unmistakably yours.

Because a brand with a real personality doesn’t have to chase attention. It earns it.
