I loved getting to do a family session for them, the love they have for each other and that she does for her babies and husband, is unmatched. 😍

I don’t bring my daughter to many sessions, but for these guys she always comes.. They are her dedicated “siblings”.. a running joke from cheer!

But, this time she had practice at their rain out reschedule date and I think we were all sad but.. the smiling marched on and

OH. MY. GOODNESS.

These are adorable. Wardrobe, parents. The sweet golden.. who isn’t as golden anymore.

They laughed, danced, cuddled their sweet pup and made beautiful memories.

Story time!!

The very first time I met these guys I’m pretty sure I thought it would be the last, I completely messed up and the sun set way earlier than I had thought. Long story short, we ran out of light and Ashley was so extremely kind and agreed to come back for a redo!

I have seen them again every year since and even multiple times a year for sessions (and at a comp)! We also discovered our girls are the same age and both do All-Stars cheer so that has been an extra fun connection to add!

This location was a request from them and I am so happy everything came together, so beautifully for them!

All black. Converse. Authenticity.

2020. I met a fellow photographer and was SO nervous for her session. But it was beautiful. At the time I didn’t fully realize just how important it would become to their family.

Every year since I’ve gotten to photograph her and her girls and so incredibly honored each time but this time…. I think this was my favorite session since that first one.

Dancing. Headbanging to a favorite song. Laughter. It felt freeing in a way.

Seniors are seriously the coolest!

We had Powell Gardens pretty much all to ourselves, the most beautiful weather, and the sweetest girl in front of my camera and the coolest mom! We spent the morning exploring around, laughing, and having so much fun. 😍

I loved these brown tones, but even more than that, I love getting to watch these sweet girls grow year after year. It’s crazy how much can change in just a year, and getting to capture these little chapters of their childhood. So happy to have them back for another year of memories!

Today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day. ❤️🕯️

When my daughter died, I came back to photography solely for memorial sessions. For the past nine years, I have had the incredible honor of capturing memories for families who have experienced a loss no parent should ever have to endure.

Behind every image is a story. A tiny life that mattered. A family forever changed. A love that doesn’t end simply because a life was far too short.

Today, I want to share some of those precious memories in honor of the sweet babies who left this world far too soon, but will never be forgotten.

Tonight, please light a candle for the babies we carry in our hearts instead of our arms. 🕯️

And if you feel comfortable, I would love for you to share your angel’s name below. Every baby deserves to be remembered, spoken of, and celebrated. ❤️
