Now Announcing: Thistlebee Imagery's Rainbow Project 2.0

I'm excited to share that I want to do a second edition of my rainbow project I did in 2022.

What does this entail?

A group of parents who have walked the journey of pregnancy or infant loss, and come out on the other side of the storm with a beautiful rainbow (also known as the baby who is born after such a tragic loss).

This is special to me, because my second kiddo, Theo, is a rainbow baby, and the little one who will join us in September is a double rainbow! 🌈

This project includes:

-a fixed date of August 16 in the evening, in the KC metro- I haven't fully decided location yet. Likely blue springs-ish
-a model call rate for all attendees (saving 100 dollhairs to be exact) in exchange for a signed marketing release
-requirement of styling assistance by me to ensure we have at least 1 individual representing each color of the rainbow
-individual and group shots, 8 images total likely 1-2 of group and the rest individual with yourself and your rainbow baby if desired (totally fine if you are still pregnant with them!)

If this is something you are called to join in, please check down below or send me a DM and I am happy to get you the application. ☺️

Applications close August 5, so do not wait! This will be very limited to maybe 10 participants, if that.

Hope to see you there 🌈

Get you a photographer who can do both: the rich, dramatic tones and the classic, timeless ones too!

It's me, hi 👋

On a real note, wow what a busy year 2026 has been! I am full-send in my midwifery student journey which has severely limited my availability for Thistlebee.

That said- fall looks a little different because I am welcoming my own little babe in middle-end of September or potentially early October, whatever he decides 🤣

Here are fall dates for full sessions *only* minis announced at a later date when I can get the promo images ready :) These are in KC metro only for now, I may add a Ha Ha Tonka date or two but for now... this is what we got. Reminder that sessions occur around 1 hour before sunset but are subject to change based on weather, cloud cover, etc.

We can expect peak leaves from October 18ish until first week of Nov as long as we don't have a random windstorm again like last year 😅

Celebrating a new life is no small thing, and there's nothing I love more than including the whole family in that celebration!

This sweet family is welcoming their seventh little babe and I was honored to create these beautiful images. Believe it or not, this was only one 45 minute session, showing just how easy and quick sessions can be when we go in with a plan and a vision!

I have some really awesome fall session ideas, as well as a couple of late summer that will be just lovely! Here's a hint: 🏫

Any guesses?

One of my favorite things about having done this for years is being able to watch families grow and change throughout time 🥹

For me, time freezes in a moment, the moment I click the shutter, so when I get to see kiddos I haven't seen since babyhood or toddlerhood, it makes my heart swell!

This is a long-time friend of mine and her sweet babies. If you are in the Pulaski Co, MO area, you should check out her business, Blooming Thing Flower Shop! 💐

Any specific spooky or fall vibes you'd like to see from me this year or have a fun session on your bucket list? Let me know 🎃

If you have your heart set on a magical fairytale session with me, don't fret! These are still happening at request of my clients and are my 🍞and🧈

No matter the session style you envision for your maternity, family, couples, or newborn session, I look forward to creating the perfect combination of styling, location, light, and vibes with you 💛

Fall dates and fun themes dropping this weekend. Are you ready? Here's a hint: 🍎🧺

I am so incredibly far behind in posting and sharing sessions but I had to share this fun, out of the box family session! 🎨

Photo sessions don't have to be boring, stuffy, or awkward. With me, they are sometimes silly, sometimes serious, but always fun!

Best part about this session, other than the memories made? The paint powder we used is 100% water soluble and environmentally safe. A win win!

I will be announcing very limited fall availability soon, so be sure you stay tuned for info. 🍁

It's that time for an availability update!

Some light housekeeping and "just so you know":

-Outdoor sessions take place about 45 minutes before sunset time. Keep in mind we may need to shift slightly if it is cloudy or overcast to achieve ideal light. In the spring sunset is anywhere from 630-7ish and in the summer its anywhere from 8-830.

-indoor sessions can occur at any point and time during the day since I use light sources, not natural light

-indoor sessions are very limited with a backdrop only at this time as they are in my office. If a need for a studio space comes up, there is potential of renting one hourly.

-I am welcoming a new baby in September. I am not quite sure what fall availability looks like just yet. It depends when she decides to come and also how I am feeling after if I will be offering Minis for fall.
*IF YOU WANT A FULL FALL 2026 SESSION: you need to get on my schedule asap so we can plan accordingly.

If you have any interest in the dates above, especially greenhouse minis for a second date, please reach out via my website 💛

Thank you all for such a beautiful few years, and I can't wait to see what we create this year!
