Recently, I had the honor of photographing a precious little boy who was born sleeping at 36 weeks. 💙

He weighed a little over 5 pounds and was 18 inches long. He was beautifully formed, perfect in every way, and deeply loved by his parents. This was their first baby, and while they should have had a lifetime of memories to make with him, they were instead faced with saying goodbye far too soon.

I share these sessions for a couple of very important reasons. One is to remind people just how beautifully developed a baby can be, even much earlier in pregnancy. The youngest baby I have ever had the honor of photographing was only 18 weeks old.

But more importantly, I want families to know that if they ever find themselves facing this unimaginable loss, I will come to them and provide these photographs at no cost. You should never have to worry about money when all you want is something tangible to hold onto and remember your baby by.

I am incredibly grateful to every family who trusts me with such an intimate and heartbreaking moment. I only share these photographs with the parents’ permission, with the hope that their story may help another family know they are not alone.

Please keep this sweet baby’s mother and father in your prayers. They are experiencing a pain no parent should ever have to endure. Pray that they feel surrounded by love, comfort, and strength in the days ahead.

This precious little boy may not have gotten to grow up in his parents’ arms, but he will forever be their son. He mattered. He was loved. He was here. And he will never be forgotten. 🤍🩵👼
