This evening, I had the pleasure of photographing this sweet couple. I’m not a “golden hour” fan so I chose the early evening for their session, just as the sun begins to soften. There's something so magical about this time of day—the light is soft, the air is calm, and everything feels peaceful.

We found a beautiful spot under an old tree. Sitting back-to-back, they shared quiet moments, laughter, and a genuine connection that was a joy to capture.

Golden hour may get all the attention, but early evening holds a special place in my heart. It's about capturing those serene, authentic moments that tell a love story in the most beautiful way.

Just a momma and her boys Sunday before church.

Your photo session doesn't always have to be in the evening. I like my photos bright and airy, so we can achieve those same tones first thing in the morning as well as early evening. Sometimes kiddos cooperate better in the morning also!
If you have been thinking of having photos to document this season of life for your visual legacy but find your schedule is too busy, we can do early mornings so it doesn't interfere with your whole day!
