I was sitting on my deck watching the deer with her little ones when I heard an eagle off in the distance but getting closer. We only have 2 eagles in the area and I've never seen them fly over here. I amazingly enough had my camera with me, and grabbed some shots when he arrived. I only had my 70-350 lens equipped, and he was so high, I honestly couldn't identify what it was but was hopeful I might end up with one decent shot. Found this pretty youngster when I looked at the pics on the computer. 🙂
Pretty happy with it especially since BIFs are definitely a weak point for me. Who knew juvenile redtailed hawks sound very similar to bald eagles!! I do now.

This adorable juvenile American Robin visits me a couple times a day. I love the way he has a mixture of feathers and fluff!

I've been tempted to get him some worms, but he seems to be doing a fine job finding his own.
