AJ got started in photography after receiving his first camera for Christmas when he was just 15 years old. AJ enjoyed taking landscape images and photos of his friends for fun at this point. Then at the age of 16
with encouragement from friends and family, he set out to create his hobby into a profitable business. After a few months of reinvesting his earnings, he purchased a better camera and set high goals. Before he graduated from high school in 2013, AJ had earned his Eagle Scout award, won the Maverick Challenge (an Entrepreneurship Challenge), and opened his studio in Downtown Lawrenceburg where Waltz Photography was previously located. AJ has succeeded in making his business unique compared to other photography businesses by listening to clients' common complaints and bettering his customer service. Issues such as photographers are too expensive and unreliable, prints are pricey, poses are not natural. AJ has attempted to make photo shoots more affordable for everyone, such as Senior Photos starting at just $49. His prints are priced below industry standards.
