Hi! My name is Kristy Bellinger, thank you so much for taking time to visit my page! So, Whats with the name? WaukAWay, pronounced "Walk A Way."

For those who don't know me, or know much about me, I have always had a love for photography and design. My friends nicknamed me "Paparazzi" because wherever I went, I always had a camera, and was always stopping to take a photo of something that caught my eye. I love photographing families, children, livestock shows, anything agriculture related, and demolition derbies occasionally too. After lon

g thought, I have decided to start out on this little journey on taking photographs. That seems like a terrible name for starting out, why not KB, KLynne, Silver Spur... the list goes on. Every name I could think of, was unique, but not so unique that it didn't already have a few FB pages, and if you know me, I like to stand out. So I got to thinking, what matters to me the very most. The list was pretty easy, Faith, Family, Friends, and agriculture, all are my passions. When I started dabbling in portrait photography was in 2012, I took my stepdaughters pictures at my grandfathers farm, WaukAWay. In the late 50s early 60s my grandfather, Doc, purchased a farm, way outside of Lawrence, this farm was not appealing to many buyers. At the time it was quite the drive from town, at the time, and everybody interested in buying it would just "walk a way." Except Doc, he knew the true beauty and worth of this land, and it was the epicenter for all Wempe Family Gatherings when I grew up. Hence how the name of the farm was born. So imagine myself, pondering names, what should it be, and then on a whim, I searched for the name, nothing. Of course not, there can only be one WaukAWay. And it was perfect, naming a hobby I love after one of my most favorite places where all my passions combine, just fit. Just like Doc took a chance on that property, I am taking a chance on me and my talents. I really don't know of a better choice. With that I give you, WaukAWay Photography. Please enjoy my page, and my work, and if you are needing photos taken for your special event or activity, I hope you give me a chance, and don't Wauk A Way.

I personally cannot believe how quickly summer has flown by, and soon Fall will be here! I have had a lot of requests for sessions already (and kudos to you all planning ahead!!). With our family being very involved in showing livestock, and other community events ( Memorial Trail Ride & Old Fashioned Christmas Parade) our schedule can be tight, so to make scheduling easier, I have created a sign up genius of available dates.

Family Sessions are $200. Seniors are $275. As always, these sessions cover locations, outfit changes, and you get edited images and a print release.

Beautiful Ashley starts off our Class of 2027 Senior Session Run. Ashley, a Firebird, has plans of becoming a nurse and attending the Great Emporia State University. She is a sweet kind and hard working girl with a zest for life that is infectious! Also, can we talk about that handsome Rudy?! What an amazingly good and handsome boy!

I was truly honored to be able to capture the sweet wedding of Sarah and Ryan Hendricks last month. What a beautiful family and an even more beautiful couple. The best part of the day for me, besides being behind the lens capturing it, was the father daughter dance. That turned into the father- daughter- son in love - mother- and groom’s father dance. A true testament of how much love Sarah and Ryan have had raising them, and forever supporting them, and how they now are a forever family. Brought this photographer to tears and made me beyond grateful for this gig of mine.

Senior Sunday and Slick Trucks? Yes, Please!

Let’s talk about Mr. Ethan, another super fun session with another great young man! Ethan is a star in every sense of the word. Sports, academics, work ethic, and effortless style! Tough? Duh! And I am not talking about that being his quintessential adjective for his truck. Ethan is too, and even after just a short time together, I could tell he’s the type that will tackle any obstacle in his way of accomplishing his big dreams headed for Pitt State.
