Things are definitely getting strange out here!

Also, I love it when my families say “I know you’re up for anything…” photo sessions should always be fun!

Updated queue in my stories 👻

(Jump to last paragraph if you want to skip my long windedness 😂😝)

A few years ago, I separated my business page from my personal. Initially I did so in order to have someone post to Bliss on behalf of my business. I’m notoriously bad at keeping up with posts and it was very nice to have the always reliable Elyse Barker say beautiful things about my work.

There was a second part of that separation that I really appreciated at the time, and that was the ability to share my personal life without it prompting a flurry of follow up texts and messages asking about the readiness of a gallery.

It turns out even photographers are striving to have a healthy work/life balance.

So here it is…October…undoubtedly the busiest month of the year for any Midwest photographer. My work life balance is currently one based on the necessity of survival and making sure I’m honoring my customers and still SEEING, feeding, and caring for my kids.

This whole Ted talk is to say, while I usually return galleries within two weeks, during the months of September-November, keep in mind that return times will be closer to my contractural obligation of 4-6 weeks. Most likely only 4, but for larger sessions (seniors and newborns—excepting Bliss Babies) these can stretch to the full 6 weeks.

I work every chance I can and I promise getting galleries out is my top priority. I genuinely can’t wait for families to see their portraits!

Editing queue as always in my stories. Much love 🫶 and what do you think, should I re-marry my personal and professional pages? I want your honest feedback.

Brand new babies, new family dynamics, freshly minted big sibling status, squishy baby legs, and perfect wrinkly baby feet 🥰🥰 Ill never get over it ♥️

More sessions are rolling out (check insta stories for updated queue) and in the meantime Christmas tree minis and other mini, small, and full session availability link listed in my Instagram bio.

I’m just over here enjoying the beautiful fall weather, and coming up for air on processing sessions, sneaking off to sessions (life with toddlers, and finally enjoying sweatshirt weather.

I had to stop and share this sweet peak at Amara and her 10th birthday session. Over ten years with this family I adore. They’re weird and wonderful, and really what more could you ask for?

I do have some small and mini sessions popping up now and through October and November with spaces still up for the taking. Christmas Tree minis are at the end of the month (October—NOT November) so now is the time to book. Link in my insta profile.

Check my stories going forward this season for an updated editing Queue ♥️

I would shoot all my senior sessions in 100 degree heat if they turned out like these. I had so much fun with Emily and her parents tonight. Multiple outfits and different locations—It was a genuine blast. Emily Elizabeth, Class of 2027. More to come.

I also have a bunch of pretty Sunflower sessions to share in the coming days including Emily traipsing through the 🌻🌻🌻 patch and kicking dirt ♥️

Now I’m ready for cooler temps and a little bit of rain for the rest of the week.

Less than a month until my Sunflower mini sessions. I should be posting one of my many beautiful portraits from past Sunnies but instead you get my mug popping up from behind the gorgeous Grinters Sunflowers. Reality 😜

There are a handful of sessions available, see booking information through the link in my profile! Sign up today and save your spot with a small payment down 👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻

I can’t wait to see some of you there ♥️🌻

I’m back with more from my newborn session with baby Monroe. I couldn’t love this family anymore!

I have known Mom Regan through our son’s school and have always known her to be kind, easy going, and quick to laugh, but to see her in her home with her well matched husband, they’re just the kind of family you wish you could join—the accept you as you are, and treat like family kind. It always a joy to be around humans who have a knack for making the world feel a little less heavy.

These three beautiful children are so lucky to have landed in such a warm family; and human connections like this are what fuel my love of photography. ♥️♥️♥️

Such a full circle moment for me, getting to photograph my midwife’s new baby. It was the most perfect of sessions with the most wonderful of humans. Such an honor and privilege to share these moments with Darcie and her youngest daughters, sweet Winter Lorraine, and big sister Emmerson. 🥰

This week and last I am at Raintree photographing all the sweet children! It is one of my greatest joys and not just because one of mine goes there! Every year I have the distinguished pleasure of watching these cool authentic humans as they grow up! Between that and doing KU Law photos the previous weeks, I’ve been editing like a busy bee, and neglecting my spring sessions that are poised on the horizon…so I pose this quarry…are any of you great at posting to social media and looking for a little side hustle.

Hit me up in my DM’s for a little more information if you’re interested in posting for me, etc.

And hit up the links in my profile if you’re looking for a spring session. Mother’s Day minis on May 3rd and mini, small, and full session options are still available May-June! I’ve fallen off of peoples algorithm from my lack of posting, so if you have done a session with me and know how fun and stress free they are, I would always appreciate a share and nudge!

Many thanks and enjoy this beautiful weather and my cutie-pie preschooler!
