I’m feeling incredibly blessed and grateful to share that I was voted 2nd Place for Best Photographer in Best of Lawrence 2026! 🥹🤍

This one came as a surprise to me because photography has had to take a backseat the past couple of years, especially this year. Between working full time as a nurse, going to nursing school, working toward my RN, and everything else life throws in between, I haven’t always been able to do as many sessions, mini sessions, or be as active on this page as I’d like to be. BUT through all of it, you all have been so supportive and loyal!

To every single person who voted for me, booked a session, shared my work, recommended me to someone, or trusted me to capture some of the most important moments in your lives—THANK YOU. This wouldn’t have happened without the support of my amazing clients, friends, family, and community.

Being recognized as one of Lawrence’s best photographers while also chasing my nursing dreams is something I’m incredibly proud of. Two careers I love, a very full schedule, and a whole lot to be thankful for. 🤍

I’m still taking sessions and should be back to a more open schedule after graduation in December. Just balancing a very full (but exciting) season of life. Thank you all again for your love and support!

We did it!! Or should I say you did it!! We made the top 5!!

All Thanks to you guys and your votes and support. We will attend the award ceremony in September to hear if we made the top 3. But this is a great accomplishment! Thank you all so much!

(Today’s photo pick is another super touching photo. This was a “just for fun” shoot. Demo derby season is one of my favorites so last summer I thought I would take some photos. Little did I know this that I would get this shot. Both of these young fellas have lost their dads who were big in the derby world. They each ran their own car and both placed! Their dads would be so proud! It was cool to see this interaction and I’m glad I caught that on camera. )

(Next up is a photo that may not be considered a great photo for everyone but it’s a photo that makes me smile. This is a photo of my best friend Mikayla Davis ‘s son (a bonus nephew). And one might think “oh how cute a little boy playing with his dog” but no that’s my dog. She came along because she absolutely loves her kids and it shows. They were just running around and chasing each other. This photo is just screams pure joy. )

I am so glad I got to capture this photo for him to hold onto and cherish forever. Just a beautiful and touching moment.
