What a privilege it is to be part of a brand-new chapter in a family’s life. Watching older siblings meet their baby sister for the first time is something that’s hard to put into words, and I feel so grateful to capture these incredibly special moments as a photographer.

Also, how beautiful is this mama less than 24 hours after giving birth? Absolutely incredible.

I wish I had a BTS video of what this session ACTUALLY looked like vs. the final photos! 😂

The scene: This lovely family arrives at the field, ready to start their session…and it immediately starts raining HARD. 🌧️ And there’s nowhere to go because, well…we’re in a field! 😂

Was rain in the forecast? NOPE. So none of us were prepared for it. I gave them my blankets to try to shield themselves from the rain, but eventually we just decided to go for it—rain and all!

By the end of their mini session, the sky had cleared, their clothes had somewhat dried, and somehow we ended up with some super cute shots!

Phew. What a session! 😂❤️
