*BREAKING NEWS FROM OTO-AWORI LCDA: BARBER COMPLETES 120-HOUR HAIRDRESSING MARATHON GUINNESS WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT*
*OTO-AWORI LCDA, LAGOS* — Ikechukwu Damilola has completed a 120-hour hairdressing marathon in Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area, concluding his attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest hairdressing marathon.
The marathon, which ran non-stop for five days, drew crowds and public attention to Oto-Awori LCDA. Damilola styled clients continuously throughout the period, with support from volunteers and officials who monitored the process to meet Guinness World Records standards.
Chairman of Oto-Awori LCDA, *Hon. Kareem Azeez Abiodun*, congratulated Damilola on the achievement, describing it as a demonstration of endurance, skill and youth resilience.
“His commitment has made Oto-Awori LCDA proud and brought positive attention to Lagos State. This feat reflects the talent and drive that exist within our community,” Hon. Kareem said.
The Chairman also thanked dignitaries and organizations that visited and supported the attempt. Among those present were Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development *Mobolaji Abubakre Ogunlende*, the APC candidate for Ojo Federal Constituency, the Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ojo Constituency 2, former House of Assembly member for Ojo 2 *Hon. Sadiq Abayomi*, traditional rulers, Christian and Muslim clerics, the National Youth Council of Nigeria Oto-Awori LCDA Chapter, and UNILEVER Nigeria PLC.
Hon. Kareem said the turnout showed strong community and institutional support for young Nigerians pursuing excellence. He wished Damilola success as Guinness World Records reviews the attempt and reaffirmed the council’s commitment to backing youth-led initiatives.
Damilola’s record attempt is now subject to verification by Guinness World Records.
