An exciting announcement is coming Saturday for my photography family! I hope you’ve all had a great week so far. Today was a good reminder to me of how blessed we are with each new day. My perspective shifted when I became grateful for the littlest parts of today. Gratitude is a powerful tool. What is something or someone that you are grateful for today?

I’m grateful for the cooler weather we’ve been having and the beautiful opportunity to enjoy it with the people I love.

We are heading into the busiest time of year for photographers. It’s understandable why so many families choose October and November for their annual family photos in Mississippi. The temperature is tolerable, the scenery is beautiful, and I think golden hour even shines a little brighter. Regardless of how grown your children are, young your babies are, or old your parents are, you won’t regret having these moments to look back on.

This is also one of the busiest times of year for families. It takes being intentional and deciding this is worth investing your time into. I have only regretted the sessions we didn’t make happen. If you want to schedule yours today, please reach out! I would love to be able to serve your family.

Today’s post is a little different. My girl Carleigh enlisted in the Air Force and leaves for basic training today. One day you’ll look back and realize these were the days you wanted to remember most. The way your little one’s hands wrap around your finger, the smile on your son’s face when he brings you flowers, and the look in your husband’s eyes as he picks up your daughter. When I’m 80, these are the moments that I hope to revisit.

I’ve been dreaming up something special for my Pine Belt families this fall. We’re going to document the moments that are most precious to you. Stay tuned. You won’t want to miss it!

I’m a firm believer that every precious little baby makes the world a better place. Becoming a mom and dad makes us better people. The innocence of a child creates a better perspective.

Every time a new family steps in front of my lens, I feel giddy. Watching that first love is something truly precious. Garret Wade, you have made our world better already. Paige and Trevor, you’re the best team. He’s a lucky little baby to have you.

Mamas, you aren’t going to want to let this season pass without documenting it. 🤍

It feels like yesterday that Paige was announcing her pregnancy, and now she’s snuggling the sweetest one month old baby boy.

Mama, you are worth documenting too. This season of your life is a treasure—one you’ll want to look back on, remember, and celebrate. You are doing a sacred work.

Even when the days feel tiring and full of chaos, let’s slow down for a little while and soak it all in. They are only safe in your belly for a short time, only connecting with you, knowing your warmth, the heartbeat of your love for them before you’ve even held them.
