I have MISSED shooting weddings! It’s been a LONG time since I’ve posted as we’ve moved to Texas and homeschooling and all the things. What a joy it was to be a part of Nate and Abby’s wedding. These are my favs from their couple photos!

Spring is my favorite in Texas. The flowers are so beautiful. Abby really wanted to get some wildflower photos, so we stopped on the side of the road and were able to get this. 😍. 🎄Christmas🎄 time is almost here! It's time to update your family photo for Christmas cards.

🎄 On November 20th and 27th I'm doing Christmas Mini Sessions in River Islands, Lathrop. I have 3 slots available on the 20th and I just opened up the 27th and have 5 slots available that day. There will be 3 backdrops available and we'll use as many as we can in the time we have.

Here are the details for the session:

*Once you select your time slot (CLICK LINK BELOW), I will email you a contract to sign, and the full payment of $200 is due via Venmo, Paypal, or Apple Pay.

*Up to 7 people

*15 digital images (you may purchase additional files at $5 per image)

*1 Outfit

*Please arrive 10 mins early as I have scheduled the sessions back to back. If you are late, it will cut down on the amount of images you will receive.

*No refunds or rescheduling

*I will email include my address in the contract.

All the emotions!! 😭😍

This is why I ❤️ what I do!!

I love experiencing this raw emotion and joy that you experience together because you are committing your lives to each other. It’s such a vulnerable place to be with you on your wedding day. I’m honored to be chosen by my brides to capture this for you.

Since weddings will probably have to be pretty intimate for a little while, have you thought about who you’d invite to a smaller ceremony and then wait to celebrate with your big group of guests next year? I will offer a good discount to any bride who is wanting to do an intimate celebration this year and then have a bigger celebration next year. These times are crazy, so I will work with you to make this process as smooth as possible.

At the end of a long day with my kiddos or a long day of shooting, my favorite way to relax is a 🛁hot bath with warmed up 🍪cookie dough and 🍦ice cream on top!! It’s been so nice, especially during this SIP time, to recharge before I get back up and do it again the next day! Where’s your happy place after an exhausting but fulfilling day? ⠀

They say April showers bring May flowers, and that is definitely true all around us! My kids and I got to explore a beautiful flower farm recently and got to take home a beautiful bouquet of ranunculus! ⠀

If you could/did have your dream 💐bouquet for your wedding, what were they/what would they be? Mine would have been peonies. I LOVE peonies. This has been hard. Especially the last few days. I’ve struggled with anger, sadness, loneliness, etc. Zoom/FaceTime can only fill that space to a point and then you hang up without a hug goodbye. Today I’m choosing to remember that God cares deeply about me. He has not abandoned me. What is truth right now? This 👆🏻. ⠀

Do you think I could do a couples session with a mask on? 😬😷. I miss shooting so much!

To all of the brides out there who had to cancel your wedding, I’m so sorry. I can’t imagine what that has felt like for you to have to wait even longer to celebrate your wedding day with all your friends and family. So much anticipation goes into all the planning. There’s a rest that comes when the day actually arrives and you can just be present and enjoy your wedding day. The wait will feel long, but even if you have to have your wedding in the middle of the week, friends and family will still come to celebrate with you. Hang in there brides, your special day will come and it’s going to be that much more special when everyone can finally be together again!

Sooo happy that we were able to pick up our sweet fur baby on Wednesday! Sage just had 7 adorable puppies and has been with her breeder Golden State Doodles for the last month. I want to take a puppy home, but I know I would probably be in over my head with 3 littles, a cat, a dog, and a new puppy! 🤣 We are so happy to have her back at home to snuggle with and to help keep us entertained during this time. If you're considering a goldendoodle, Golden State Doodles does extensive testing to make sure their dogs are in good health before breeding. They also make sure the temperament of their dogs is great for families.

Today I struggled with what to write. So much is going on. So many feelings. So many cancellations. Also, so much good has come from this despite. Our community and my family is coming together to support each other. There have been so many posts on social media for our community of ways that everyone can give to others. Things people have excess of they are sharing with others. It has been amazing to see. 💕 Each day I’m reminded that God is in control. That He cares about us in every way and in every circumstance. When everything is crazy around us, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling.” Psalm 46:1-3.

I’m so thankful for my family and for our community coming together to support others. What is one thing you are thankful for today? I’d love to hear! ❤️
