Ten years.
TEN. FREAKIN’. YEARS.
Today marks 10 years since I officially became Taylor Made Photography LLC... and honestly? Baby Heather would’ve absolutely lost her mind knowing this is where we’d end up.
Back in 2015, I was just a girl with a camera, way too many Pinterest boards, and only the confidence of my Photography Professor’s confidence in my abilities. 😂
Since then I’ve...
❤️ photographed hundreds (closer to thousands if I’m honest) of weddings & elopements
✈️ traveled to places I never imagined I’d get to work
🥹 cried during more vows than I can count
🌄 chased countless sunrises & sunsets
🪨 climbed rocks in dresses, laid in dirt, dodged traffic, and convinced strangers to trust me with the biggest day of their lives
🍾 built a business that somehow grew into photography, education, planning, content creation, a photo booth, a podcast, and so many wild ideas that haven’t even happened yet.
This business has given me so much more than a career.
It gave me confidence.
It gave me purpose.
It gave me lifelong friendships.
It gave me stories I’ll tell forever.
Has every year been easy?
Hell no!
There have been seasons where I questioned everything. Seasons where I wanted to quit. Seasons where I wondered if anyone would ever book me again.
And then another couple trusted me.
Another sunrise reminded me why I do this.
Another gallery made someone cry happy tears.
So here we are.
Ten years later.
Still chasing good light.
Still crying during vows.
Still saying “just one more photo!”
Still completely obsessed with documenting love stories.
To every couple who’s invited me into your lives...
To every family who’s come back year after year...
To every vendor who’s become a friend...
To everyone who’s liked a post, referred a friend, shared my work, or simply believed in me...
Thank you.
You built this right alongside me.
Here’s to the first 10 years...
..and to whatever ridiculous adventure comes next. ❤️🔥
P.S. If you’ve ever been in front of my camera, tell me what year we met in the comments. I want to see how far back we go. 🥹
