Carrie & DJ’s wedding day was the kind of day that reminds me exactly why I love what I do. 🧡

It was overflowing with love, joy, laughter, and that rare feeling of everyone being fully present. No rushing from one thing to the next, no getting caught up in the chaos — just two people intentionally choosing each other and the people they love most.

One of my favorite parts of the day was watching how intentional they were with their time. They made space for meaningful moments with their friends, stayed connected with one another throughout the entire celebration, and truly soaked in every second together. You could feel how grounded they were.

And I have to say, this day was made even more special by the incredible team surrounding them. From the planner to every vendor involved, it was one of those dream-team weddings where everyone was working together seamlessly to create something unforgettable.

It was such an honor to witness and document a day that felt this genuine, this connected, and this full of happiness. Truly one of my favorites. ✨

I want to share one thing we splurged on for our wedding that, almost a year later, is still one of our favorite investments… our flowers.💐

Going into planning, we honestly thought we’d spend around $3,000 on florals. But once we started getting into the design, the types of flowers we loved, and all the labor that goes into setup, teardown, and moving pieces throughout the day… that number changed quickly.

We ended up investing around $7,000.

And here’s the thing—if we could go back, we’d spend the same… maybe even more…🙈😍

I know what you’re thinking—why spend that much on something that just dies?

But that’s actually the point.

Flowers are meant to be temporary. They exist in this beautiful, fleeting way that reminds you to be present… to really soak in the moment you’re in. And when I look back at our photos and videos, the florals completely transformed the space and made everything feel so intentional and cohesive.

If you’re thinking about what will truly elevate your wedding day and make it feel unforgettable… florals are one of the first places I’d invest.

For reference, we had a destination wedding at Secrets Playa Blanca in Costa Mujeres and spent about $7,000 total on our flowers—and it was 100% worth it.

One of my favorite first looks and private vow moments was with Nicole and Mike on the New Jersey side, with the New York City skyline as their backdrop. Watching Mike see Nicole for the first time had me in tears too… he was completely overwhelmed, and honestly, can you blame him? Nicole was absolutely radiant on her wedding day, but it’s Mike’s reaction and this intimate moment that I’ll forever hold in my heart. 🧡✨
