I realized earlier that those photos I posted earlier were from over 2 years ago so I decided to go back and play with some of the edits.

There are so many ways to photograph the eclipse. Many times people like to see the bright rays that extend far out like what you would see in person. I have some of those which I might toy with the edits soon, but for me, I always enjoyed the more subtle approach where you really see the prominences and the detail of the rays on a very light scope.

Let me know what you think and if you agree or disagree with the way I preferred to capture the eclipse or if you prefer how I did the last photo with the longer strands.

Today is going to be flooded with eclipse photos. I wish I could've made it to this year's event but instead I'll have to post some of my favorites from Dallas a couple years back. Next year I'm hoping to make it to Luxor. Did anyone go to see it this year?

When we moved to Las Vegas, I didn't realize the moonrises would be so spectacular. I took this last night as the moon crept past the mountain range in the distance and couldn't believe the detail that still came through. Usually capturing the moon across a large city creates a lot of Haze from the cars in city itself, but even with Vegas and the foreground doing its thing, this Moon still looks very clear. Couple that with the vibrant blood orange color. It gets and it's always quite the show.

Most times the northern lights are much fainter than they appear in photos due to the cameras ability to pull out that lower light. But every now and then, a strong storm comes around and lights up the sky to the naked eye exactly how you might've imagined it would.

Right after I took this photo. I found $20 laying in the middle of the field. Yosemite offered me the blessings.

It's 110° out here in Vegas so might as well reflect on one of the best days of my life inside Yosemite National Park. For the record also, I prefer 110° any day over being cold in the snow.
